The BR-THERM is a Mechanical-Set Thermal Packer, used for high-temperature steam injection, huff and puff, and geothermal production wells.
The BR-THERM is a double-grip packer requires only a quarter-turn rotation to set and release which is easy to operate. It is available with an optional integral expansion joint, which eliminates the need for a separate expansion joint above the packer.
Packing Element and seal configurations are tailored to the temperature rating required, up to 550°F (325°C).
Features:
- Only a ¼ turn is required to set and release.
- Wire mesh debris barriers on expansion joint eliminated seal extrusion.
- Standard packing systems rated to 550 °F.
- Adjustable Shear safety release.
- Rotational safety release disengages expansion joint from the packer.
- Optional ports allows circulation when expansion joint is stroked out.
