The BR-HST-3C-270 Hydraulic Setting Tool with 2-7/8" EUE Connection is a hydraulic force-pull combination setting tool, is designed for setting packers, Bridge Plugs, and cement retainers in deep, high temperature wells. It may be used to set Tech Tool Packers and Plugs for which there is a Wireline Adapter kit compatible with the suitable size. Operation with other compatible products would be basically the same.
The HST sets the packer by applying surface pressure until the preset shear force is achieved. The HST provides a bottom connection that accepts common wireline-type setting-tool adapter kits. A stackable piston arrangement allows variable setting pressure to be tailored to well requirements.
The standard setting tool comes with three pistons, but additional pistons can be added to reduce setting pressure.
