The BRSV Storm Valve run above the Compression-Set Service Packer, or the Storm Packer provides a means to isolate the tubing below the packer and disconnect the running string. The string is rotated twenty to twenty-two turns to the left to disconnect. The running string can be reconnected, and the valve opened to equalize pressure for packer retrieval. The Storm Valve features an expendable plug that provides through bore access for circulation or wireline passage.
