BRX Selective Landing Nipple
(X-Type)

BRX Landing Nipples are fully selective nipples, used to land, lock and seal X-type locking mandrels with attached flow control devise in the production tubing string.

The internal profile of BRX Landing Nipples includes a selective profile, a locking recess, and a polished sealbore.

When installed, the locking dogs in the X-type lock move out into the recess of the nipple, anchoring the lock and positioning the lock packing in the polished seal bore section of the nipple.

These Landing Nipples are available in metallurgy such as AISI 4140, L-80 low alloy steel, 9Cr 1Mo Steel, 13Cr Steel, etc.

• To shutdown the well or test the production tubing by using with blanking plug.
• Land velocity type safety valves.
• Land equalizing check valves.
• Land chokes to reduce surface flowing pressures.
• Land instrument hangers with geophysical such as pressure and temperature recorders.
